Kane Communications Group Earns Women's Business Enterprise Certification

CEO Kimberly Kane leads the woman-owned Milwaukee firm

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MILWAUKEE (June 29, 2020) Kane Communications Group, a full-service public relations and integrated marketing firm located in downtown Milwaukee, is honored to announce its national certification as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women's Business Development Center Midwest Certification Committee, a regional partner organization of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

As a certified WBE, Kane Communications Group is eligible to be recognized nationally by more than 1,000 corporations looking to engage with a woman-owned firm. Corporations that work with WBEs demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity while achieving diversity initiatives among their suppliers. This widely-respected certification involves an in-depth process that includes a review of the business and site inspection to confirm that the business is 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

“My vision as a business owner is to build a company that will enlighten leaders, empower our employees and help our clients thrive. I am excited about the opportunities created by the WBE certification to make more meaningful connections and further our reach,” said Kimberly Kane, president and CEO of Kane Communications Group. “This was a tough status to earn and I’m incredibly proud that we achieved this.”

Kane established her firm in 2013, with more than 14 years of experience in business development, communications and public relations experience. With roots in journalism, Kane saw an opportunity to create a company that rises to business challenges and serves as a trusted, inner-circle advisor to visionary leaders and helps clients achieve measurable business results.

Kane Recognized by PRSA with Paragon Awards

In addition to WBE certification, Kane recently received the 2020 Paragon Award for Best in Show from the Public Relations Society of America Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter, which recognizes outstanding public relations work and quality performance among public relations professionals. Kane’s win stems from an internal employee engagement program for the Wisconsin Center District. Kane also received an Award of Distinction for an integrated communications campaign about serious mental illness for the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division
